Dear Ben + All

How are all of you back home? fine I hope. As for me I am in the pink of health.

You probably heard from Ann by now that I am in France. I wrote to her shortly after we arrived here. Since then I had a little of it. Its not nice. It is a different thing here compared to england we are tied down all time.

Only once we got out to get a little wine its darn good sour wine The whiskey is stronger than hell makes your helmet twirl.

How are the papers back home? are they full of news about the war over her. They probably spread it on pretty thick.

We still get our paper the Stars and Stripes every now and then. I see the Detroit tigers are playing pretty good ball lately they was in third place by Thur paper.

Well, what are you doing on the farm now? Will the corn be knee high by fourth of July? Who is helping you do the work. Does Art help you?

Did you get that money I send home before we left England? If you need it for any thing go ahead and use it if not you can put it in the bank for me. I may send some home this pay day. I won’t be spending much money over here.

I would like to tell you more of what is going on but I guess you will just have to get the news from the paper.

I am getting a little hungry so soon as I finish this I will start cooking supper five of us eat together usually my Sgt and I cook the others don’t seem to know how some time they make me so mad just sit around and wait. or else we have to tell them everything we want done some time I think I am the Sgt of the crew. ha. ha. They probably do too the way I give them hell. ha.

Let me know how long it takes this letter to get there.

Boy the way some time ago Helen asked me if I could read the V-mail she sends me (yes) they are very good I can read every word.

Well the Sgt wants to start cooking so I will go help him. It isn’t hard when everything comes in cans.

Hoping this fins you all well.

From your bro.

Felix
