Technician Fifth Grade Felix E. Swehla was inducted into the Army October 9, 1941, and was sent from Fort Custer to Camp Roberts, California. He was there two months before he was sent to Fort Lewis, Washington, where he is now stationed. He was promoted in April to fifth class technician in a tank destroyer battalion. On November 10, 1941, he was called home by the sudden death of his mother Mrs. Mary Swehla. His father is also deceased.
