VMAIL May 3, 1944 Dear Ann, Will drop you a line before I go to work this morning. It is now 9:30 we start to work at 8:00.
I received the package in good condition, thanks a lot for it the peanuts were gone the first day. Frank and I even took some to a pub so we could eat them while we was drinking beer. I still have three or four pieces of candy left. I believe you made a mistake and sent me four tubes of tooth paste instead of two of shaving cream and two of tooth paste. But that is ok, I’ll get along.
It rained last night so it is a little cool this morning.
Just a few more days and it will be a year that i was home. Gosh how time does fly.
