To day I took my first bath in France

Dear Helen,

I will take time to answer your letter of Jun 27. I got it July 15th.

To day I took my first bath in France. My last bath was over a month ago. Some of the fellows  went to a pond. The water was cold as heck. It hans’t been too warm lately, So I got some hot water in pail and went at it. Did a good job any-how I feel good.

We are having couple of days of rest that is if you want to call it that I did my washing.

Did not even realize it was Sunday there just aren’t Sundays in War.

I hope Ben’s back is ok by now. Tell him to take care of it. Tell Betty Straka my hair is a little longer. ha. With Love Felix
