VMAIL June 15, 1944 Dear Ann, Here is a line to let you know that I am fine and dandy. Here is some new news. We are in France. Can not tell you where they won't allow it. So far it is ok here, the weather is fine, that is mostly what I worry about, The country looks nearly like England. Last nite we got some wine some Dago red and some whiskey. boy the whiskey sets you right on your heels. The wine is sour, but good. Little later on I will rite more of what we are doing and what I see We do see plenty. you probably read more in the paper and know more than we do. I suppose you figured we were over here.
