Dear Ben + All
How is everyone back home? I am feeling fine.
The weather is about the same maybe a little cooler. Has been raining a little nearly every day.
I got a birthday card from Sylvia and Thelma on my birthday. – no it wasn’t either. I got them on Monday I suppose I will be getting cards all this month. Today I got my Aug 31 Monroe paper they keep coming from 20 to 30 days late.
Well what’s cooking these days? Are you cutting corn yet? Did they have the Adrian fair this year. I know it used to come around my birthday. “Did you go?”
What made me think about it. I saw a picture in the paper of the horse pulling contest.
We have been moving around a lot these days so its hard for me to fine time to write. By the way out new A.P.O is 305.
A couple of us just come back from having a cup of tea. Ha. Most of the people here are great tea drinkers, even I like it better than I did.
Everybody stops 10:30 in the morning then again about 3:30 P.M. for tea no matter what they are doing they stop for thirty minutes.
We have worked the last four Sundays. But it so happened last Friday before my birthday we got a day off. So I went out to celebrate. I did a pretty good job, bought myself a comb, then we stopped in a pub. When we walked out I thought I was Art the second. Ha. Ha. found out Scotch and Beer didn’t mix too good.
Have you gone out with the dog yet? I believe her name is Sally, am I right? She should hunt pretty good this year. Last year I was lucky enough to be home during hunting season, guess I won’t be able to make it this year. But next year I am expecting to go up north with you and Al.
The boys have a hot pedro game on the next bed so I better go watch it.
